1. Via Ferrata Roc de la Campana of Amelie-les-Bains in Vallespir (1 course)
This new Via Ferrata, nestled in the Mondony gorges, offers a single route in the heart of wild landscapes, with an impressive view of the surrounding mountains. This site is known for its unique setting, with rock formations and rugged cliffs overlooking the valley. The course is sheltered from the wind and cool because it is shaded. Currently only the AD intermediate course has been open to the public since 2024, it offers a wide variety of passages: rungs with handrail on cable, aerial bridge with passage on cables and beam with all exceptional views of the gorges, the valley and the village of Amélie les Bains. The second Course (sport D) of this Via Ferrata is planned to be opened in 2025.
Access to the Via Ferrata is public, therefore free.
2. Via Ferrata de Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet in Fenouillèdes (3 courses)
Located near the magnificent Galamus gorges, this via ferrata offers a varied experience that is suitable for both beginners and experienced ferrata enthusiasts. The routes wind along steep cliffs, revealing striking panoramas of gorges and rock formations sculpted by erosion. The via ferrata is divided into several routes of different levels: beginners can choose an easier route, La Pichona
, while the most experienced can attempt the most aerial and exposed passages in The Intermédiaire or The Panoramic by completing the entire route. The course is decorated with metal rungs, monkey suspension bridges, Tibetans, perfect for adding a touch of adrenaline.
Access to the Via Ferrata is public, therefore free.

3. Via Ferrata Souterrata of Villefranche-de-Conflent in Conflent (1 course)
This via ferrata is located near Villefranche-de-Conflent, a town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its remarkable fortifications.
The via ferrata is divided into several sections, at beginner level, and offers a nice variety of passages: metal ladders, zip lines, suspension bridges and sections. It offers a breathtaking view of the Têt en Conflent valley, passing through the zip lines from one bank to the other. Finally, its unique characteristic is that part of it is located in an underground passage in a cavity.
A unique immersion in a landscape that is both natural and historical. Lovers of history and picturesque landscapes will particularly appreciate this route which allows you to combine adventure and history in the same day.

4. Via Ferrata des Escaldilles of Llo 1n Cerdagne (1 course)
Located on the Cerdagne plateau at altitude in the mountains, near the charming village of Llo, this Fia Ferrata runs along the gorges of the Sègre river and offers several levels of difficulty to please climbers of all levels.
The route passes near waterfalls and pools of water, which creates a unique atmosphere in the heart of the mountain. The Via Ferrata de Llo is particularly pleasant in summer to cool off by the river. At the end of the route, visitors can also relax in the natural hot baths of Llo, which are located near the site. A perfect place to relax after exercise and enjoy the benefits of thermal water.

Advice and recommendations in Via Ferrata
Via ferratas in the Pyrénées-Orientales are accessible at different levels, but good physical condition is often required to fully enjoy the experience. Safety equipment (harness, lanyard with shock absorber, helmet) is essential and can be rented in the surrounding villages or with local guides. For beginners, it is advisable to hire an experienced guide, who can supervise and explain safety techniques. Finally, don’t forget to check the weather before leaving, as via ferrata can become dangerous in bad weather.
The practice of this activity requires the use of specific and therefore mandatory equipment, helmet, harness, lanyards with shock absorber, mobile phone (in case of difficulty) and optional gloves or mittens.
